Buybox Optimization Through UX Research & A/B Testing
Leveraging research, design iteration, and A/B testing to boost user engagement and sales

Context
This project originated from a marketing request to optimize our buybox for higher conversion rates. The marketing team provided initial insights, and my role was to expand on these from a UX perspective. I conducted a competitive and trend analysis to identify best practices in e-commerce and collaborated with marketing to explore solutions that could increase user engagement and drive conversions.
Process
I began with an in-depth competitive benchmarking, analyzing direct competitors and leading e-commerce brands. To evaluate opportunities, I built a framework covering navigation patterns, visual hierarchy, accessibility standards, and interaction design.
From this research, I generated design concepts tailored to our brand identity, product offering, and technical capabilities. I presented these solutions to stakeholders, incorporated their feedback, and iterated on the designs to ensure alignment with both user needs and business goals.
Solution
The final deliverable was a redesigned buybox experience with stronger brand consistency, improved visual emphasis on product imagery, and tighter integration with our design system. We validated the impact through an A/B test, which showed a measurable increase in conversions compared to the previous design.





Outcomes
Working on this project was an exciting challenge. I collaborated closely with the marketing team, integrating their ideas and feedback into my UX research to combine both perspectives into a cohesive solution. After finalizing the design, I delivered the assets to developers, coordinated implementation, and organized the A/B testing to ensure the results provided actionable insights and met the project’s goals.
